The ALM Persons of the Year (POTY) Ceremony is a flagship annual event of the African Leadership Magazine, which has been held consecutively over the past 13 years, convening policymakers, private sector leaders, civil society leaders, thought leaders, and all stakeholders from across Africa and the rest of the world to discuss issues bothering on Africa’s socio-economic growth and development. The event has also become a prestigious platform for honouring people-centered leadership and Africans who are pursuing a pan-African agenda in their chosen fields of endeavor.

The 2025 edition of POTY promises to be bigger and more diverse in bringing together over 300 participants— including policymakers, political and diplomatic leaders; major industry titans, business leaders, and international investors groupings; academics, researchers, and think tanks; international development agencies and all stakeholders from key sectors of African society.
