Africa’s commitment to regional integration through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), combined with the rapid digitalisation of public governance systems, has underscored the need for agile, forward-looking regulators. Intra-African trade reached $192.2 billion in 2023, representing a 3.2% increase from the previous year. The UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) projects a 45% rise in intra-African exports by 2045, potentially adding $275.7 billion to the continent’s trade value. The African Trade Report 2023 also reported an 18.6% increase in intra-African trade during 2022, attributed to AfCFTA-driven trade liberalisation. These developments signal an urgent need for robust regulatory institutions capable of facilitating seamless trade, ensuring standards compliance, and adapting to global economic shifts.
As the highpoint of this training session, all participants will receive exclusive access to the ALM Africa Summit 2025 (9–10 July 2025), chaired by H.E.
